Landgoed De Geer
Bed & Breakfast and Guesthouses
Bed & Breakfast “Estate De Geer” is located in the beautiful outskirts of Culemborg. Previously Estate De Geer was a dairy farm with a sizeable amount of arable land that has now been turned into a nature reserve. It still functions as a horse retirement home.
At Estate De Geer you will find our brand new Bed & Breakfast. The Bed & Breakfast is located in a guesthouse that contains two cottages and an upstairs apartment. The guesthouse is built in harmony with the environment. The cottages and apartment are suitable for a one night or several night stay, to celebrate a holiday, or to use as temporary living/working space.
Estate De Geer is located in a natural area with woods, small waterways, fruit orchards and nut trees, a leisurely five minutes bike ride from the historic town of Culemborg. At our Bed & Breakfast, you can enjoy a wonderful rest.
On the estate you can find a 1.7 kilometer path which connects to the Klompenpad, a trail through and along pastures, between Beusichem and Culemborg. Just steps away, along the river Lek, you can find a bicycle hub which serves as a starting point for beautiful bike rides through the regions of the Betuwe and Utrechtse Heuvelrug. A little further you will find the Roundel (Rondeel), an old walking area from the 17th century, and the Plantage, the Culemborg city park designed by Zocher.
If you are a peace and nature lover and fond of cycling and hiking you can indulge yourself here, while at the same time enjoying the cities of Culemborg and nearby Buren which have much to offer in the cultural and culinary arenas. There are also various opportunities for interesting trips and tours in the region.
We look forward to meeting you at Estate De Geer or our Bed & Breakfast.
