We, Jaap and Jannie Borgstein, live in the farmhouse at Estate De Geer. The farm was previously owned by Jaap’s parents. They ran a dairy farm and later a horse retirement home. Over 20 years ago we moved to the Estate and took over the horse home.
In 2010, we completely changed direction. Because we consider this one of the most beautiful spots in Culemborg, we wanted to turn the estate into a special place, which would remain so in the future. So we started with the reconstruction of the estate. We transformed the meadows into a beautifully landscaped park with woods and trails and in the middle a beautiful water feature.
We also wanted to share this beautiful place with others and show highlights of the estate and what the area offers. Not only by establishing a Bed & Breakfast where we receive guests, but also by opening up our estate for walkers. There is a 1700m long trail around the grounds connected to the Klompenpad.
We hope our Bed & Breakfast as well as the rest of the property will allow many people to enjoy this unique place. We welcome you into our home.
